"Prepare Every Needful Thing"

For 2013, we chose the scripture in D&C 88:119 as our annual theme: "Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God; That your incomings may be in the name of the Lord; that your outgoings may be in the name of the Lord..."

What does it take to build such a house?! We're going to work hard to find out this year.

Mother's Day

Hmmmmm...how to start. I had been a little overwhelmed lately with my responsibilities and I received a wonderful card from my cousin for Mother's Day that was the final turning point in my attitude. It said on the cover, "We are beloved spirit daughters of God who find nobility in motherhood and joy in womanhood." It was a good reminder. Then Monday night for FHE, Nikki arbitrarily picked this video off of lds.org to show for her lesson and the choice couldn't have been better.

My New Life

I would have loved to finish the lovely thoughts on motherhood that I had when I wrote the first paragraph an hour ago but somehow they've dissipated with frequent interruptions this morning as the children should be getting ready for school.

Yep...mind is now blank. I know I'll have to edit this later.
