| March always starts out with Britton's birthday. I let each of the kids select the menu on their birthdays. Brittons selected Extra Cheeesy macaroni for his 7th birthday meal. |

| The Rodgersons invited us over for a FHE at their house. They were butchering an injured turkey and thought we'd appreciate the experience since we are raising chickens. Jonny did the deed from start to finish under Sean's tutelage. It was a lesson in Biology. The turkey was filled with a series of developing eggs. We had no idea that the eggs grew inside and were completely soft and rubbery until the moment they reach the outside air and the shell hardens. It was pretty fascinating. Nikki sat inside teary-eyed with Lanae. It was Lanae's pet and she was sad too. There just happened to be an article in the New Era or Friend magazine that month about animals and heaven. Good timing! Nikki consoled herself reading that article. |
My house was sometimes dirty and sometimes clean. The day on the left must have been a real doozy! We continued with soccer, scouts, and 4H.
