"Prepare Every Needful Thing"

For 2013, we chose the scripture in D&C 88:119 as our annual theme: "Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God; That your incomings may be in the name of the Lord; that your outgoings may be in the name of the Lord..."

What does it take to build such a house?! We're going to work hard to find out this year.

Rhapsody of the Seas - Days 5 & 6

We passed the next 2 days at sea. Christi attended a couple classes. One gave her a mini-facial. In another class, Christi's arm was used as a pincushion to demonstrate acupuncture. She felt nothing and was intrigued by the science. It's been around more than 2,000 years so there must be something to it. Another class was about detoxifying the body and was very informative. Christi also attended napkin folding with the women. While Christi attended various classes, Jonny read a book. We attended a show every night. We climbed the rock wall at the back of the ship.

Our room attendant left us some fun towel animals.

The cruise ship also took a side trip up Tracy's Arm fjord during these two days. We stopped only briefly to see the glacier (frozen river of ice traveling down the mountain) breaking off pieces into the ocean. There were icebergs everywhere and an occasional critter like a sea otter or a seal sunbathing on them. Some of the icebergs were blue because they were compressed under greater pressure and contained none of the air bubbles that make them appear white. Then the cruise ship did a 180 degree turn and traveled back out and onto Victoria, British Columbia.

During any family photos, Steve made sure that he, the older brother, was positioned taller than his younger brothers. In this picture, there was nothing for Steve to stand on, so Jonny was accommodating him.
