"Prepare Every Needful Thing"

For 2013, we chose the scripture in D&C 88:119 as our annual theme: "Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God; That your incomings may be in the name of the Lord; that your outgoings may be in the name of the Lord..."

What does it take to build such a house?! We're going to work hard to find out this year.

New Chickens and Chickies

Jay decided on Polish chickens for 4H.  (I don't think they are any less intelligent than the average chicken.  My kids don't know about Polish jokes.)  They have cute fuzzy hair-dos.  Jay named them Calvin and Hobbes. 


We then purchased a couple baby chickies from the feed store (a Rhode Island Red and a Bard Roq) to complete our variety.  Our little cousin, Jake Ellsworth,  named them Rocky and Ricky for us.  They are adorable, very noisy balls of fluff.

So that leaves us with a total of 5 chickens including "Cut" which is Josh's chicken.

Good choice Jay on your chicken names. Dale went to Poland and he loved to read Calvin and Hobbes! Zach is really into those books too :)
